Teambuilders was launched in June 2003 to look after the growing team and personal development business of Competence at Work Ltd (CAW), an established Sheffield-based consultancy that is an ISO 9001 registered firm.

Teambuilders develops individual and team skills to help people, teams and organisations cope with today's constantly changing world. And because Teambuilders is part of CAW, you’re guaranteed the same quality and attention to detail from us that you expect from a well-respected company operating within a strict ethical code.

Teambuilders works with client organisations to identify specific training needs and develop a programme that meets those needs. Training can be delivered indoors, outdoors or a mixture of both, and can be of any duration. It can be conducted at the client’s place of work or at any venue that has suitable facilities. Hotels and Conference/Training Centres are popular venues with those who wish to do some training away from the distractions of the workplace.

Our approach

Teambuilders can arrange every detail of your programme for you, so that you get the maximum benefit from the time that you have available. We aim to deliver appropriate, good quality training at a competitive price. Whether our client wishes to enhance their teambuilding or leadership skills, receive one-to-one coaching or undertake some psychometric evaluation, our five-step approach to helping improve performance is:

• Diagnosis - we talk to you and your team about current issues

• Design - we work with you to put the outline of the event together

• Delivery - we facilitate and evaluate the event for and provide a report

• Follow Up - we come back in 6 to 8 weeks to check your progress

• Further Learning - if needed, we'll supply a programme of learning

We strongly believe that knowledge, skills and insights require implementation to survive. We have never considered training to be a one-off activity and wherever possible we work to ensure that a training culture is mainstreamed into all activities in the workplace.
